Jack Orville Mezzetti Jr.

Jack Orville Mezzetti Jr. passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025 in Austin, Texas, at the age of 72. He was surrounded by love, holding hands with each of his two children, as he departed this life on his mother Jody's 97th birthday.
Jack was born on April 19, 1953 in Austin, Texas. He graduated from John H. Reagan H.S. and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in 1976. A proud Longhorn, Jack was a devoted fan of UT football and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team.
After college, Jack passed the CPA exam on his first attempt and enjoyed a long career in accounting. He served as a Texas state auditor and later worked with the IRS until retirement.
Jack is survived by his children, Bradley Mezzetti (Kari) and Stacy Baker (Justin); his grandchildren, Tristan and Barrett Mezzetti, and Jade and Nolan Baker; his mother, Josephine "Jody" Mezzetti; and his brothers, Mark Mezzetti (Theresa "TA"), Robert "Bob" Mezzetti (Leigh Ann), and Phil Mezzetti. He is also survived by his Aunt Noami and cousins, Carla and Martha. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mezzetti, Sr. and his sister Gina.
Jack will be remembered for his deep love of family and his quick wit. His life was rich with laughter, especially during long hours spent with his brothers, when they shared long stories of their childhood and their father's colorful personality-- stories lovingly told and retold with joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
