Christopher Ernst Nordling

Christopher Ernst Nordling, 64, went home to our Lord and Savior on September 24, 2016 in Austin, Texas. Chris was born in Kearny, New Jersey on May 19, 1952 to his loving parents, Ulf and Barbara Nordling.
Chris graduated form Reagan High School in Austin, Texas. He returned to Austin in 1992 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion. Chris liked tennis, golf, baseball and football. His favorite baseball teams were the UT Longhorns, Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs. His favorite football teams were the UT Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ulf Nordling; mother, Barbara Brigham; and younger brother, Peter.
Chris is survived by his wife, Karen of Austin, TX; son, Brent Nordling of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Kristen of Cedar Park, TX; brother, Carl Nordling. He will be greatly missed by his three stepchildren and six grandchildren.
We would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Grace Hospice, especially Debbie and Heather for being the guardian angels who helped Chris pass gently; also, a thanks to Chaplain Grady for prayers of comfort, and helping Chris find peace.
